This has some valid points to make about the relatively complacent way we keep using oil with comparatively little regard as to investing in renewable energy production. The way the author handles these points however is in perhaps the most opinionated way possible and for the most part the book seems to be stuck on a moral high-horse.
This is really a problem in the opening and closing chapters that are written in the (presumably) parody style of a children’s story, that just come off as hugely patronizing, even at several point trying to explain that a sudden spike in the oil price will cause the return to power of the Nazi party. Any good points are lost amongst arrogance – a real shame.
