Really useful book, not the must update to date as bear in mind the Tintin shop in Brugge has shut down. Really good value for money if you want to find Hot-spots or avoid the Tourist traps Pop out maps are useful, not as much details as the maps you pay 50cents for at the tourist office, but the two maps, one for street detail and one for all the tourist hot spots are brilliant.
I have just been four days and this book was always in my bag. I only got lost once when trying to find Staminee De Garre. Unfortunately this is not in any detail on the map, but most of the restaurants etc. are clearly labelled. Thanks to the advice from the book I managed to cover a large area in the four days.
One of the most up-to-date pocket books out there and a must have if you are going to Bruges.
We used this travel guide for our recent weekend trip to Bruges. It is small and so is very easy to carry all day. The guide is designed very well and the pop-out maps enable you to orientate yourself with little fuss. The restaurant/ shopping section seemed up-to-date and the recommendations provided by the guide were very useful - they meant we ate at some delicious restaurants and cafes. This book is a must have for a short trip to Bruges!
This little book is ideal for consulting whilst on the move, walking around the city, it fits nicely into a pocket or small bag - not comprehensive but sufficient for a short weekend break which we have just had. Only slight downside is the pop-up maps which don't always pop-down easily but we got the hang of it eventually.
