Top critical review
A good idea but limited and sparse.

Really glad we didn't shell out for the paper edition, as this is a disappointing book. It starts badly by the introduction saying there are far more walks on the website - not a good feeling when you've bothered to order a book - and then the fact that there is not a single map in the book - in a guide to where to go? Unbelievable. The directions aren't good enough to get you to each site, many don't have postcodes attached so you can't use satnav, and I haven't found one yet that actually tells you how many miles or minutes away from the motorway the walk is!
All in all a great idea done badly, cheaply and with far too few walks per motorway to be called a uk guide.
Amazed that the RAC put their name to it.
I didn't actually set out to write such a negative review but this is an honest appraisal and shows our disappointment.
Write a new edition, cover more of the motorway network, and shell out for map design and copyright and we'd gladly pay double - and probably buy both book and ebook.
[Also there are a couple of technical problems with the ebook that would be annoying if we were going to bother using it - e.g. The table of contents isn't tagged - you only find it if you hit Page Back from the introduction. The publishers should be getting a re-code from the ebook agency]
