Great book on Rom 8:13 and how to mortify/ put to death sin. Its not for one reading only, but for regular re reading, there so much stuff packed in it. I already read it twice and planning to read it again, it is so good and full of truth!
I found it to be a very great blessing and instructive on the serious issue of devolopment of the christian life through a biblical understanding of indwelling sin and the means of grace given to deal with this matter.
This is one of the most positive and practically helpful books I have read. It looks in honest detail at how people behave and points out the small simple practical daily things we can watch out for and change. Surprisingly easy to read for an 'old' writer, and bang up to date as human nature doesn't change. The writer is clearly writing from his own life-experience and from his living daily relationship with his God, not merely theorising. Hie doesn't start with theorising but the other way round:-: his theological exposition comes from looking honestly at his own behaviour in the light of biblical teaching.
