Simple Cooking - the essence of most Italian food.
29 May 2016
On opening the book for the first time and flicking through it and looking at the lovely pictures, I was immediately struck by the thoughts of "yes - I like the look of this", and "yes, I like the look of that". I then browsed the introductory pages, and when I saw Antonio's list of contents in his "essential Italian larder", I knew that this was just my type of book, for my own larder contained every single one of his 'essentials'. I am hoping to work in a local restaurant kitchen soon, and many of the recipes in this book can easily be scaled up for a cheap and simple to prepare 'Menu du Jour' which customers will love. The essence of good Italian food is simplicity using fresh ingredients. This is a great book.
