I bought this product as a resource to help me teach my son the alphabet. I think that the intention is good - a wipe clean book that children can use to practise their letters over and over again, but there is too much information on each page. It's very confusing for a child starting to read or write to have a letter that they're working on shown at the beginning of a word, in the middle of a word and at the end of a word, ALL on the same page!
I think it would have been better to use a simple phonic approach, such as in jolly phonics, where children are initially encourage to associate a sound with the beginning of a word and at a later stage are shown how the sound can be incorporated into the middle or ends of words.
