An excellent, (though obviously biased) short introduction to one of the greatest thinkers and doers of the 20th century. If you are studying the Russian Revolution at A-level and are looking for a quick easy way to get aquianted with the personalities and general feel of the era you could do a lot worse.
Also, the art work is the best and most effecting of any book in the range, particularly the recurring motif of the eye-glasses (shattered on the 2nd last page) and the very last picture (made up of two photos of Trotsky from the beginning and end of his life)which, along with the "Life is beautiful" quote, always bring a shiver to my spine and a tear to my eye.
