A good mixture of long stories and, in my opinion better still, short stories about the Just Men. The writing is a little mechanical at times, not surprising considering the prodigeous output of Edgar Wallace, but the stories are very ingenious
I've looked for this for ages and greedily read the lot on my various journeys around our railway system. I want to get all the other stories he wrote. I'm hoping Wordsworth Editions bring out some more of his stories. A darned Good Read!
A good read, telling tales of four men who bring punishment on those who have harmed others, but whom the legal system cannot touch. Very dated, and the moral question of whether vigilantes are entitled to take the law into their own hands.
