This is a great book. It is well written and informative. It is aimed at the beginner and introduces the subject well. Even the more experienced collector will find it a handy reference and it is not possible to have too many books on this often neglected area of collecting. Cheap and cheerful, but with lots of interesting nuggets of information, it should find a place on every collector's shelf. Prices can quickly date (though not all of them have), but that is inevitable and not the fault of the book. It at least gives an approximation and offers key information about corkscrews in general.
This book will be outgrown (even by a beginner!) very quickly. I collect corkscrews, so only one chapter interested me. Of course, the estimated valuations are already out-dated because values are going up all the time! If corkscrews is your thing, I thoroughly recommend "The Ultimate Corkscrew Book" by Donald A Bull. Expensive, but you will never outgrow it!
