An excellent book for checking out what that strange item you bought with a previously unseen makers mark on. But one thing to watch out for - don't buy this if you are looking for price guidance. The book is very egalitarian in its approach - giving coverage for everything from the little-known potteries to the ubiquitous Doulton, Wedgewood etc. Recommended

Another attempt by Millers to bestride the Atlantic with items from both sides. Most are as common as gravel but there is a sprinkling of diamonds. Both these aspects make me doubt the usefulness of the book. Being interested in UK ceramics for forty years and seeing stuff illustrated here which I have never seen outside of specialist auctions might lend some perspective.
The US section has some stars which we would have heard of over here but the ordinary stuff is an unknown quantity..
The prices seem almost arbitrary but as the ensuing years have made the ordinary sink and the extraordinary soar making sense of them is a guessing game.
A Nice Picture Book

A useful basic ceramics guide to include some American producers. Book arrived in good time given that it came from USA
but would have benefited from more packing other than a tight plastic sleeve. It came with sleeve and the corners where
slightly damaged because of lack of packaging. Otherwise a good clean used copy.
