This book is a real education in hormones and health not just related to the menopause but also age related diseases. I am 40 and found this book to be a real eye opener. The author tackles the science of hormones but in laymans terms so much so that the complex endocrine system is made easily digestible and very interesting. I would say for any one between 35 and 60 this book can provide you with very valuable information to arm you with the information you need to feel empowered and knowledgable about these stages of your life and how best to understand your body. I would highly recommend this book and congratulate the author in writing such a useful book and tackling the science of hormones.
This was a total waste. There is no cure offered. The closest suggestion is that you find a doctor willing read in between the lines on blood tests and the juggle a personal and natural form of hrt. The book goes on and on about how hormones dictate bodily functions and that doctors should prescribe medication for optimal performance not normal. I don't know about most but my NHS Gp doesn't work like this and a huge percentage of women can't afford private healthcare and specialists which this book strongly suggests. VERY disappointing
