I read a review of this book in my newspaper, and was intrigued. The photos are stunning, the text, with stories of each Sikh in the book, helped me to learn and understand a little of Sikh history, culture, spirituality and identity. I found it surprising and deeply moving, a privilege to read each very personal account. My respect and thanks to each man, woman and child who posed for photos and told their stories, and my appreciation to the creators of this extraordinary book.
Just bought the book. Literally read half of it in one evening. Only put it down to put the kids to sleep. The book is awesome. So proud of our faith and what we represent in our own way. Thank you both for creating such an amazing insightful book. 🙏🏽
Turban and Tales is a well laid out beautiful book , with beautiful photographs of Sikh people who are wearing turbans.I read each persons story with amazement and it’s intriguing to see how each has its own tale of how they identify with the turban. The authors Amit and Naroop have taken us through a historical journey of different generations of Sikhs up to the current modern day Sikh who are able to wear a turban and are proud of what it signifies -their identity , spirituality , religion , culture , ancestry and so much more. The famous duo Amit and Naroop are undoubtedly extremely talented photographers as one can see in the photographs beautifully depicted in their book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book , which is now a treasured book in my home also being enthusiastically read by my 3 young kids and husband. I was also fortunate enough to know the authors through their photography and attended the amazing booklaunch ..which was definitely something to remember as some of the Sikhs in the book were able to share with us their turbans and Tales ..this book comes highly recommended !!!Well done Amit and Naroop
