Fab resource. I have used this at work with secondary students and at home with my young daughter. They are beautifully designed cards and separate the different categories nicely. This way you can just choose whether you want somthing calming for example and find an activity to match. Its a great fun way to introduce mindfulness. I work with students with challenging behaviour& it has helped me work with them to develop their mindful practice with minimal disruption! Great!
Saw this set in a local art gallery play area and had to get one of our own. Its so hard finding ways of getting kids to relax and avoid the TV! These cards have got loads of ideas for some chilled time out - but make it fun for the kids too. Love the way the set is split into cards for different moods - ie chilling out or focusing. The cards are fun, making relaxation techniques seem like a game rather than a chore. Lovely illustrations. Easy explanations. Our little boy (4 yr old) actually asks to play them. Would make a nice gift. But generally great if you’re looking for a way to help them unwind. Recommend!
Great for children who worry, are over excited or just need to unwind. Best maybe 4yrs + but great for adults also. One excercise is lying down with a teddy on your tummy watching it move up and down as you breathe, simple but so effective. Has helped my son a lot who suffers with anxiety.
I work with kids with anxiety and this is a really great resource because it comes with a lot of ideas, lots of little cards with exercises and it really helps children from the age of 6 all the way to about 14 15 years old
