If I could give it 6 stars, I would!
31 March 2018
Now in her early twenties, orphaned Karen Brown has left the American Midwest behind and found work at an ad agency in New York. Life could be better - she's been sacked from the voluntary work she loves - but at least sexy Conrad has asked her out.
So far, so normal. But actually, Alison Morton has written an alternate history thriller, in which Karen's links to the European state of Roma Nova cause a diplomatic incident. Soon, she has to decide between America and Roma Nova - and that's not the only hard choice she has to make. With action, emotion and twists galore, tension crackles from every page. This is one of the best books I've ever read, and 5 stars doesn't do it justice. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.
