Having already read Chris Arnot's book about Cricket's Lost Grounds I couldn't resist this latest offering in Cricket nostalgia.
I wasn't disappointed.
Full of wonderful anecdotes and photographs.
A joy for anyone interested in this wonderful game.
It brought back happy memories of idyllic Summer days at places like Blackpool,Harrogate,Darlington, and Middlesborough.

This really is a book for every cricket lover. If the idea of festival cricket transports you back to a time when players and spectators alike looked forward to a special time in the season, then this is for you.

It's enhanced by eye-witness accounts of former players and is complemented by those who are still associated with the clubs, so if you are looking for cricketing nostalgia you are in the right place.

This is a well written, wonderfully evocative, beautifully illustrated and produced book, a very worthy companion to the Lost Grounds book.

Excellent writing with vivid description of past matches and players, reminding one of the great days of county cricket where matches were played on many varied grounds. A must for all cricket lovers.

An excellent read - brought back many memories of yesteryear; of a time when cricket was cricket and not a commercial venture.

Lovely book, recommended to all cricket supporters, especially those like myself that wish clubs still visited their outgrounds more

Slightly off point, poor packaging from Amazon meant the book did not arrive in 5* condition
