I have never been to Thailand so cannot comment how the recipes compare to authentic Thai cuisine. However I have been to some really decent Thai restaurants in the UK and this book produces food that is as good or better than the best Thai restaurant I have been to. We have cooked many of the recipes from this book and all have turned out as they should. Most are fairly easy to prepare and ingredients can be sourced at Asian supermarkets. There are some which call for more specialist items which can be sourced online.
If you are cooking from this book I recommend the Caramel pork, although we cook the pork till fairly crispy and put about half the sugar in. The flavour is much improved through the use of palm sugar.
