As usual, a good guidebook from Lonely Planet. Comprehensive and covers everything you need, tailored towards independent travellers. The advice can be a little paranoid at times - for example saying to drink only bottled water - I drank tap water for my whole two week stay with no health problems. There's a special section on Wildlife and some good maps. In terms of size it's just about carry-able in a day pack though not the smallest or lightest of books. There aren't very many photographs though, which is a down side. However it does include a useful chapter on the Victoria Falls, which many visitors to this region will incorporate in their trip.
