This was a relatively short book and I wouldn't normally pay that price for a book under 260pages's Jan Bowles and I know that it's going to be a great story with a strong, gorgeous alpha male and an intriguing and likeable leading lady with some very, very hot scenes.

Beth attends an interview at Club Submission, she is well aware of the lifestyle of the club members but the job is for bar work. Ethan Strong the owner of the club conducts the interview and is immediately taken with Beth's haunting attractiveness.

Beth soon settles into the club and fights off all the Doms who recognise her submissiveness and want to claim her. Soon, an upsetting situation drives Beth into Ethan's arms and they both begin a D/S relationship.

Ethan is unaware that Beth has secrets, he knows that she had a Master whom she adored and that died 3 years ago but he is aware that she is frugal with the truth around his death and secretive about her life since then. Ethan is a very strict and respected Dom who wants to have a very serious relationship with Beth and he will not tolerate deceipt. To try to break Beth's silence he calls on The Inquisitor, the other, darker side of his nature..........

Usual BDSM practices including restraint, caning, caging, breath restriction.

I loved this book, it was a really good back story and I adored the characters.

I'm afraid that the idea of lying to a Dom and than getting punished for it requires a bit more of depth that this story. Concept is simple, plot slightly simplistic and partially unbelievable. And the Inquisitor? Description lacks in depth and questioning is too short to be believable. Not severe enough.
