Brilliant fast paced thriller. Half way through you think it is impossible for Child's to keep up the pace and suspense but he keeps topping the action. Great thriller and far better than later ones. All nonsense, of course, especially our glamorous CIA woman with the dislocated knee cap who can't wait for Jack to throw her down on the forest floor for some impromptu sex (those pine needles!) but all very engaging and readable. The theme of white supremacist survivalists is ominously current post-Trump

Lee Child always produces a good story, I am re-reading all the Jack Reacher books at the moment, and am surprised how much there is in the book. This book was moving the whole time, with so much in it, you do not want to put it down. Each of the books are stand alone, and you never feel you have missed anything by not reading the others. I like these earlier books better than the later ones. 9/11 changed the way writers are able to write stories as lots of things changed then. The Jack Reacher of these early stories would not be able to fly etc with out modern ID. No bad language, and a likeable hero.

It's Jack Reacher 6' 5" and someone kidnaps him along with their target - surprise surprise it's going to go wrong.... yes there are plot errors and tech errors but this is a John Wayne movie really, so get over the errors and enjoy the story most of the ideas are good but it could have been better and most Reacher's are way smarter than this.
Still a good guy v bad guy decent read

One of the most thrilling of Lee Child's novels I have read so far. Endless suspense throughout and also a touch of romance and vulnerability which adds to the depth of the story.

Gritty gripping story full of excitement twist and turns. Would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good thriller novel. Makes me want to read more Reacher novels.

My third Lee Child book and I'm still not disappointed. I'm a Reacher convert and can't wait to start the next. My only recommendation before reading Tripwire is to put everything else on hold, because you'll resent having to put it down!

Was okay, this being the second book in the life of Jack Reacher. If this is what's to come with all his other books I don't think I'll get to number 16. Ok we understand he's a drifter, but to get attacked, then fall in love with the heroine and then leave at the end can get a little boring.
Worth a read, story keeps you guessing till the end, not fast action but enough to keep you going.

A well written good paced book. A couple of twists for good measure. I enjoyed it and am already halfway through the next one.

As the headline, an excellent story all the way to the very end. Can't really add anything more even to make the minimum words.

Lee Child is an amazing author. Though you can read his books separately, it's better to read them in sequence. Great service.
