I think this is a really beautifully illustrated book with images from the 'Life' archive.
This books spans images from her childhood to later life. Admittedly, these images have been seen on numerous occasions. There is nothing new nor revelatory in these pages. This book is small and portable, a commemoration of an exceptional life.
I have read and collect books on Jackie and I would say this is without doubt one of my favorites because is it small and easy to leaf through. Also the selection of photographs (admittedly they have been seen before in other books,) but this book does have a certain charm which is hard to describe. Perhaps is it because it was published to commemorate and celebrate an exceptional life.
Highly recommended to all Jackie fans and particularly anyone who is curious to read and find out more about the truly exceptional Jackie!
