Compact and easy to carry. Though the drawback seems to be the text could prove difficult to read without having the book closer than arms length, even at arms length it tends to blur together due to the minute size.

Cover was a little beat and ever so slightly dogeared but that's the drawback of paper back and it's a small price to pay for a more compact and easier to carry volume.

The contents of the book itself as always with the "big" RPG game books, is high quality, and is beautifully illustrated with Pathfinders own gritty cartoony style.

Recommended if you need a hard copy but want to minimise what you carry. Text is very readable. Contains 6th printing. This is the compact paperback version.

I bought Pathfinder when getting back into gaming because I'd read varying reviews of D&D fourth edition and since then I've been running a fortnightly campaign. I've since played both fourth edition and fifth edition D&D and while they're both great games I'm very happy that I made the right purchase.

The book itself is mostly very well laid out and for those bits that simply make no sense on first reading (like how many hit points you get at first level) the internet is full of really helpful people and advice.

This is what d&d 4th edition should have been in my opinion .Illustrations layout and writing is good with all the old favourite races and classes humans elves dwaves gnomes halflings an half orcs.Ther is no major changes to the feel of the older d&d 3.5 game. My only complaint is whilst adding extra feats skills and spells to the game i feel the system does slow down and a chance for an esier game missed . High level games suffer with too much magic ,If you dont have a magic user or cleric you may find this game gets boring awaiting for all those solve everything spells .That said this is a great game for anyone wishing to play in a group with continuing plots every week ,but not for the first time role player fo a single nights game which will get lost in this huge book

The book itself has everything i could want from a core rulebook. My only issue with it is that the book arrived with the cover already beginning to peel which is frustrating because i want the book to last a long time.

Excellent product at a very good price.
Has all the rules you need but can take a bit of cross referencing to find everything during character creation. The placement of the information feels counter intuitive at first but I imagine it's real use is for more seasoned players who need to quickly check a rule rather than wade through pages and pages on creation.

This is a great book for all those wanting to play Pathfinder.
The illustrations are great and the rules are clearly explained.
I've been playing D&D for years and really love playing Pathfinder.

After managing to get a group of friends intrested into starting a tabletop RPG group. We decided to go with pathfinder. I ordered this book with it being the core rule book to get stuck into. Plenty of information to take onboard. Really looking forward to having our first quest.

If you've read d&d version 4 you'll recognise a lot in here. Whether or not that's a good thing is still debatable, however the book is well written. It is logical and thought out. Still worth the money.

I finally jumped in and bought a core Rulebook. Been playing Pathfinder for a few years now borrowing my friend's books and no longer need to borrow. Excellent core Rulebook based on D&D version 3.5 but with tweaks for unique world setting.
