There's no getting around it - Jay-Z is a business titan with a net worth greater than anyone on Dragons Den. This book details how he did it - his transition from drug dealer to internationally known rapper to entrepreneur.

The author shows Jay-Z's business acumen in all its glory: his eye for opportunity and his insistence on ownership at every turn should be a lesson to everyone.

This is a great book, particularly in conjunction with The 50th Law by Robert Greene. That book tells you how someone could do what Jay-Z did. This book lays everything out, step by step. I loved it.

If you are Jay Z fan, you need to read this book. If you are looking for a business book, an entrepreneurial book, this is the one. You can't knock a guy who went from drug dealing and almost being killed living in one of the most dangerous areas in New York, and then 10 years later living in a multimillion penthouse 3 miles away from his origins, and today a net worth of over $500million.

This book was worth the wait,it wastes little time covering the MTV side of things and relly answers some of the questions you may have about Jay Z if you are a follower like I am of his carrier and rise as a real powerhouse of a business man. This is a great well written business ,stratergy book as well as a intresting read about the man himself. For the fans explains about the (ROC)break up and the wise moves he has made since a must read for any one who likes a true rags to riches success manual.I read it in a weekend couldnt put it down.A MUST BUY!!

This book although not written by Jay-z does gives an insight into what drives Jay-z "the business". Interviews with people who claim to have known him as he built his empire helps to build the picture of a man with the vision and determination to move an idea from a concept to a reality using the skills, knowledge and life lessons learnt along the way. It reveals a man not afraid to take the risks that others may not because of the total belief in his ability to see the next big thing before anyone else.

It didn't tell you anything new, the author treaded very carefully, I think.the author knows more than he's letting on..... I see more informative stuff on YouTube! Suppose he has to be careful! Jay-Z should put some of his millions into helping the crack addicts an homeless! There's no pockets in a shroud! You can't take your money with you! People forget there roots!!!!

A great insight into his life and business ventures. It does however beg the question how factual versus perception the contents of the chapters really are. I will have to read jay z version to make that call.
