This is a great book for someone who has experience coaching. I would recommend that you have read books detailing running a team, coaching methods, coaching psychology etc before buying this book. Reason is that this book will not tell you how to coach or run sessions. It is simply a collection of training 'drill's based on game situations, which work very well.
These drill can be used on ANY age group as you can adjust the difficulty with regards to how you set the drills up. I found myself changing most of the drills to suit my players abilities.
The great thing about this book is that it also includes the progression drills for most of the games.
Recommended for FA level 2 coaches and above OR with at least a couple of years experience.
practices are very basic and minimal in description, not a bad thing sometimes, but some do need more explanations. I browsed though it the day it arrived and quickly decided it was best for introducing some of the themes or specific points to add to some of my existing drills. maybe this is because I prefer a game based approach adding conditions, which I think makes it easier for youth platers to understand, engage in and enjoy.
