I was recommended this book after one of my fellow students told me it was one of the best books he had read on hypnosis. It is a pragmatic, interesting approach to treating depression and its basic theory can be used to treat other disorders. It would also be useful for those who have not studied clinical hypnosis in any depth, but work with people who have depression. It has practical advice as well as theory and background. I would recommend all students of clinical hypnosis purchase this book during their studies or if they were to treat someone suffering from depression.
I found this book very interesting; it is very well written and very balanced. The author is obviously a deeply compassionate man and cares deeply about the clients he helps. He explains quite clearly how 'depression' can be treated using hypnotherapy. As a practising hypnotherapist I found it stimulating and a great source of ideas of how I could help all my clients in better ways. A must read.
