Translated from the Jolanda Den Tredjes (Jolanda The Third) Website......

"Rosie Bjorkman, Initiator and founder of the Third Jolanda, who is also professor of witchcraft, known in the media as 'nation-witch'. Rosie has written the book "Jolanda, the third book about the tarot and witchcraft". She uses her own deck of cards, which the famous artist Hans Arnold has illustrated."

Don't let the bland yellow box put you off!. This deck is rich in life, colour, detail and symbolism, and not your usual run of the mill symbolism either. Although it keeps to the basic system of Rider-Waite system, it offers unusual symbols instead, conveying the traditional meanings and yet allowing for so much more insight and interpretation. It's a very intriguing and enjoyable deck with a difference!

Good for the beginner with its easy to understand symbolism and great for the experienced reader who is looking for something different.

The cards are larger than normal size, with a good thickness and finish and come in their own box with LWB that gives simple keywords for each card.

This Set has very simple artwork which makes it quite simple to Read. Because it's quite simple, one might feel that there isn't perhaps a great deal of `scope' in Reading in any great depth, but in fact I think the opposite is true here; I found I could Read quite a lot from these Cards - which is just as well, as the little booklet that comes with them (as so many nowadays) only gives lists of one or two word meanings for each Card... I hate this method, as these lone words and phrases can be alarming to people who do not understand Tarot - or are using it for the very first time... Words such as `Loss' and/or `Deception' say, can be very unsettling on their own - these booklets should really have more scope in consideration at least for those not able to Read for themselves...

All in all, a nice Deck though, but the Cards are quite thin and so are not of the best quality, yet these are not as cheap price-wise as many other Decks of perhaps better quality I've been purchasing lately...

It might not be the most vibrant and colourful Deck out there, but I do find the artwork very appealing.
