'Spring Fevers' is Volume Three of the author's 'Sigma Cycle', including 'Autumn Scandals' and 'Summer Frolics, linked by a theme of sorority eroticism involving hazing and a complex hierarchy of submission and dominance. Threads of British disciplinary practices are also involved, and there are many characters in common amongst the cycle. Links with the works of P N Dedeaux' works, particularly his sorority novel 'The Nothing Things', are present, including two short extracts of Dedeaux' own writings. Pyx' style is terse, somewhat mannered, and often both tentative and implicit it its descriptions of chastisement activities. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but a stylish classic.
