This volume has five stories. Four of seven pages length and one of 14pp. Though this last tale does seem to come to an end seven pages in and then starts up again. It is a story in which some young ladies summon up a nasty* of demons and 'consort' with them, something that has happened several times before in this series. Indeed, this is the only complaint that might be leveled at BC&D: that it is starting to become a tad repetitive; and I'm not sure that that is entirely inevitable, perhaps the complaint of lack of imagination could be laid at the creator's door. I don't want to complain, (it feels like complaining about a good friend) as the artwork is, as ever, excellent, and the humorously earthy tone is a delight.
I still maintain (in know-it-all-critic mode) that a full-length story, perhaps a pastiche of one of the many sword and sorcery fantasies extant, would be the best way to go for this title.
*I've decided that a nasty is the group name for demons.
