This is a simple but very powerful book not just for children but for adults too. Tiffany did an excellent job of creating an affirmation book that is easy to read and remember. The book helps you to reflect on your history and why we must do our part today to make a difference for our children to be proud of who they are and to live in a world that would not judge them because of the colour of their skin. Continue to be unapologetically black and stand proud.

I brought this book for a friend of mine who is having a baby. How had heard about the book a while ago and needed an excuse to buy it. It’s a great read for black children now they can see themselves in books. This is something I never grow up with.
I’ll definitely be buy this for my own children and another book Tiffany Rose releases.

In LOVE with this book! Unfortunately, it took such a long time to arrive and by the time it did, a spread of pages was missing toward the end of the alphabet. They sent us a new copy, but once we received the new copy, again the book wasn’t right. This time it was bound backwards and upside down. We received a refund. I guess the bright side is we now have fun, colorful, empowering pages we can frame in our girls’ bedroom? Shame about the actual book though!
