I’ve been playing the guitar for the best part of 50 years and gigging for probably half of those. I’ve picked up lots of theory and various ideas along the way and, somehow, this book connects it all together. This really is an excellent reference and tuition guide. It’s s taught me a few new things too.
It is extremely clear and well laid out. It keeps things simple and totally relevant to actually playing the guitar for fun. It never strays into deep academic stuff but keeps it very practical. I found that when I got interested in a topic which led me to ask more questions I would invariably find the answers on the subsequent pages. It really is carefully thought through and presented in a way that a guitarist would understand and enjoy.
I have many, many guitar tutors on my studio bookshelf but this is the one that I invariably reach for because I know I can get to what I need to know quickly. I thoroughly recommend this book and I hope it provides as many ‘lightbulb moments’ for you as it has done for me.
