TERRIBLE!!!
The covers look like a 5 year old put them together, but the main issue is the play's formatting. It is really unclear who is speaking, as the name is lowercase, with a full stop after it to denote who is speaking. Frequently a new line isn't started even started, but just appears in the previous speaker's dialogue, so it appears as if the previous person is merely saying their name. It is diabolical, completely unfit for study, I had to buy another, different copy for my A-Level study

Ibsen really criticises the norms of marriage of that specific era in time, it's a must read. Seriously, read it. I'm doing it for course work myself, actually.

Like many of York Notes Advanced's titles, this provides an insightful and useful accompaniment to the study of Ibsen's play.

Clearly explained contextual information helps to shape a modern reader's understanding of why the play was so shocking.
In-depth character analysis demonstrates the importance of each character in the play, how they each change throughout, and how our perceptions are altered as events unfold.
Plot synopsis gives a chunk-by-chunk analysis of the play, and points out important quotes, themes, symbols, etc.
Language and style analysis provides a thoroughly academic introduction to the novel.

Thoroughly recommended for those studying the play or simply with an interest in Ibsen's work.

Easy to follow script coupled with the York Notes made this a valuable buy for those studying 'A' level literature.

This began very drily and I didn't hold out much hope of improvement but this actually turned out to be a surprisingly uplifting, feminist work.
