An excellent publication! I have been working for the last 14 years with 3rd level students who experience Specific Learning Difficulties, and I am finally happy to recommend a book that has the right type of structure, content and format for young (and even more appropriate for mature) students with SpLDs to assist them in the task of developing their study skills. It gets my top vote!
Really great guidance I found it really helped phcologically for me to read about dyslexia as disability and how to find help ? Also some of the chapters are very helpful in defining how to improve yourself and were your difficulty is and also their is some helpful hints although a lot of the websites are not available that are suppose to aid you
Bought to go along with course studying. The skills are well explained and are aimed at higher education (college and university) although useful for the GCSE level to get into good habbits. Lots of useful tips for everyone as well as the in-depth breakdown of what and how to study with having a SPLD. Clearly laid out so even if you are the person with SPLD you can follow it.
This is a truly amazing book. I work with students with dyslexia and it's my 'go to' book that I refer to time and again. Not only are there some really good tips and tricks that I've found useful with students, there's also a wealth of resources (free) that I also find really helpful, as do my students. Highly recommended if you work with or are a student with dyslexia.
It's very concise, supportive and a great aid not just for students! Fantastic and very comprehensive. The writers clearly know what they are talking about and have set the book out in a very clear way. This can help dyslexics across the board and covers wide ranging study skills which can really help people. I will be using this book regularly because it really is brilliant and easy to use and follow.
