Took just over a week to come as this wasn't Prime eligible, slightly annoying I had to pay for postage but not exactly the end of the world.

The book itself is very interesting, well worth a read if you're interested in any kind of weightlifting or physical culture, Georg Hackenschmidt was obviously a highly intelligent individual as well as champion weightlifter and wrestler. Gives a real contrast to the kind of broscience in magazines and all over the internet today.

Unfortunately as this is a reprint of an older book there are a few typos or missprinted words etc. Also the prints of the old pictures look a bit shoddy sometimes, I've seen most of the same pictures online too so it's not like they are no longer available in good quality. However, this has nothing to do with the author, and isn't frequent enough to spoil the read.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in sport really, it just offers something completely different yet reliable.

Some excellent tips and advice how to live a good life and lift heavy. Goes a bit more into his career history as opposed to "how to lift" but worth reading a few times. What a physique this guy had. Again, lifting superhuman weights no roids
