this book contains some good information on guitar based circuits but i was unable to read the schematics on my kindle edition. Only small images are available. schematics do not enlarge when selected like other electronics books i serious oversite which makes this but usless for me.
The book provides very clear and detailed analysis of how most aspects of guitar playing work. The electronics behind the book are very basic and can easily be learned prior to reading the book. Although it has a chapter on basic circuit theory, it is not sufficient to gain an understanding in electronics. That being said, if you start the book with no electronics knowledge, you probably won't gain much but you can easily fill in on the knowledge.
One thing this edition is missing is design on noise gates. Although noise can be tackled by many different ways, I was expecting that noise gates would have been mentioned.
Nevertheless, the book was a wonderful read and it deserves its spot on my shelf.
