This is a gift for my daughter who is very creative. Children/teen books in the Arts sometimes hold back on the wow factor which is a shame. I am not that artistic myself, but I appreciate the unrestrained nature of a lot of these works. In fact I love it, and would recommend all school libraries purchase a copy. The things that a book like this cannot convey is scale and a 3D perspective. Therefore a visit to the V&A (or other collection) is obviously a better option, but it's nice to have access to so much beauty and talent in a well presented book.
I was looking around and a lot of the other ceramics books I found looked badly presented and were very text heavy. This is the perfect "coffee table" gift as it is full of lovely photography of some pieces from all around the world.
