Was eagerly awaiting this book and couldn't wait to get started ,however, I found the instructions very confusing as no row numbers were given and no indication of yarn plys just Norwegian wools . Certainly not something I could relax and enjoy , very very disappointing
You will really enjoy knitting these, if you are fairly experienced and love knitting socks as there is some short row shaping...but it is so good that you see the bear appear before your eyes! Not much sewing together of small pieces, even the ears are knitted in one with the head. Bear clothes are just delightful and modern. Only point is some of the terms are confusing if you were a beginner as they didn't translate well from Tone Takle's original mother tongue.
Interesting book with lots of themes for bears. The first part of the book is how to make the bears and the rest concentrates on their outfits. Some are more simple than others. Many of the garments can be knitted in 3 or 4 ply yarns, but the patterns just suggest the needle size so some knowledge of different yarn types is helpful. All the clothes can be knitted quickly for those who find they lose interest in larger knitting projects.
