This edition of the Disney Princess Storybook Collection contains six separate Princess stories. These are:

* Belle and the Castle Puppy
* Cinderella and the Lost Mice
* Ariel's Dolphin Adventure
* Aurora and the Diamond Crown
* Rapunzel and the Crown Jewels
* Tiana and the Jewel of the Bayou

Some of these have appeared before in Disney offerings, for example Aurora and the Diamond Crown appears in Princess Bedtime Stories , so if you have some Disney collections already you may want to check that the stories from there haven't been recycled here. For me and my daughters though all the stories here were new. Now for each of the stories in turn:

Belle and the Castle Puppy sees Belle take in a lost puppy who then runs off into the woods. The story contains elements familiar from the Beauty and the Beast film, like the characters, the woods, the wolves that inhabit those woods, Beast being an angry sort of a fellow etc. so seeing the film beforehand may be an advantage. The story then ends with a ballroom dance.

The second story is about Cinderella and again contains characters from the film, and some ballroom dancing. The mice get thrown out of the palace and Cinderella begins to worry about them but all ends well.

Ariel's adventure begins this time with ballroom dancing before heading seaward where Ariel and Prince Eric help a baby dolphin stranded in a lagoon.

Aurora's story sees her turn 17-years-old and she gets a diamond crown as a gift, as long as she can answer three riddles correctly. Afterwards she celebrates with another ball.

Rapunzel's story sees her come to grips with life without her magic hair, and she comes to realise that she is special, even without it. And there is no ballroom dancing in sight.

Then Tiana's adventure ends the book with Naveen getting into trouble in the swamps of the Bayou before being rescued by Tiana before they dance the night away.

So overall six princesses appearing so no Snow White, Jasmine, Mulan or Pocahontas, lots of dancing, lots of beautiful artwork as you'd expect from Disney, but the stories are each no longer than 10-minutes in length so they may be a bit short and simplistic for older children. However for little girls there is everything here to keep them happy.

I brought this book for my daughter and she loves it. This book contains 6 short stories featuring different princesses from disney films. The stories are Belle And The Castle Puppy, Cinderella And The Lost Mice, Ariel's Dolphin Adventure, Aurora And The Diamond Crown, Rapunzel And The Crown Jewels and Tiana And The Jewel Of The Bayou. This hardback book is very nicely illustrated and the stories are enjoyable (well my daughter certainly enjoys them). It is also nice to see newer Disney characters like Tiana and Rapunzel included in the collection. So all in all a charming book which girls are certain to enjoy.

This contains all the princess favourites which seem to be very popular at the moment. It has lovely illustrations to go along with `Ariel`, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast ect. My grandaughters love it, they are 2 and 5 years old so they both enjoy the stories.Because of their ages it needs to be read to them but a 6 to 7 year old should I think be able to read it aloud themselves.

This excellent collection of new stories, feating the Disney Princesses, includes the following: Belle and the Castle Puppy, Cinderella and the Lost Mice, Ariel's Dolphin Adventure, Aurora and the Diamond Crown, Rapunzel and the Crown Jewels and Tiana and the Jewel of the Bayou. There are great, colour illustrations, with a few lines of text on each page - making it easy for the beginner reader to tackle alone and also not too long if you are reading them aloud at bedtime! If you are looking for a nice gift book for a young girl, this could be the one. My five year old daughter, who loves anything about these Disney characters, absolutely adores it.

I always tend to associate any product licensed by the Disney Corporation with a certain degree of quality and once again I haven't been disappointed. The 'Disney Princess Storybook Collection' is sumptuously produced in hard back on good quality paper stock. It features 6 original stories each containing characters familiar to the Disney stable and with lashings of full-colour illustrations that could have come from the pens of the Disney illustrators themselves.
The stories included are - Belle And The Castle Puppy, Cinderella And The Lost Mice, Ariel's Dolphin Adventure, Aurora And The Diamond Crown, Rapunzel And The Crown Jewels and Tiau And The Jewel Of The Bayou.
All suitable for little girls of a certain age and I can't wait to have my 5 year old granddaughter climb on to my knee so we can start the adventures together!

It's a decent price for this well presented story book featuring the key Disney Princesses. The cover is hard-wearing, protecting over 150 pages within. Three-quarters of each spread is filled with bright, bold and colourful art. The text is definitely overwhelmed by the art, making the stories come to life in vivid detail.

Unlike some of the audio-accompanied Disney efforts, these stories were written to be read (or read aloud) rather than transcribed. The stories flow and are easy to read, making them ideal for reading to children as well as for able readers too.

This is a great opportunity for Princess fans to engage in further adventures with Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel and Tinia, with many of their sidekicks too. A book that little princesses will treasure. High quality and good value.

Absolutely adore Disney, so was excited for this book. It contains completely new stories, it's not just the films rewritten. It contains one story each for Ariel (Little Mermaid), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Rapunzel (Tangled), Tiana (Princess And The Frog), Cinderella and Belle (Beauty And The Beast)... I was a little gutted that it didn't contain one on snow white or Jasmine (Aladdin), considering they're classics, but otherwise i love it. I brought a used copy, which has a fairly small tear near the bottom, but it can be easily fixed with some glue and should be fine :) Also arrived within the estimated delivery dates.

This is a great book that brings more magical stories for bedtime reading for my little girls.

They already know the traditional stories for each of the Princesses, and now there are 6 more:

Belle and the Castle Puppy
Cinderella and the Lost Mice
Ariel's Dolphin Adventure
Aurora and the Diamond Crown
Rapunzel and the Crown Jewels
Tiana and the Jewel of the Bayou

This is a visually impressive book with a lot of great Disney characters that look just like they are in the Disney films.

First of all, I was surprised at the quality of the book considering it's price - a gorgeous hardback book with excellent quality illustrations.

The stories are sweet - a bit cheesy for an adult but hey it's Disney! And its intended for little girls!

Absolutely gorgeous - would definitely be well received by any Disney princess-loving little girl!

My daughter was delighted to receive this book. It has beautiful illustrations and she was very happy to read stories featuring the "newer" princesses, such as Raiponce or Tiana. It is probably in American English rather than English, so can be a bit tricky to read sometimes even for a good 6 year old reader, but all in all, she loves it!
