This is an awful revision guide. The summaries are pretty pathetic to say the least. I would not recommend that you look into buying the zig-zag summary guides, which include excellent summaries of all the cases for the Criminal Law exam paper.

The 'OCR A2 Criminal Law and the Special Study Paper' revision notes textbook is certainly extremely valuable for students doing an A-Level in Law. As a revision aid it simply explains the key cases that students need to know. It is also up to-date when it comes to 'Loss of Control' and 'Diminished Responsibility' reforms. In fact, the book is really strong when it comes to advice on how to get an A or A* grade.

The content of the 'OCR Criminal Law Special Study' exam changes every year, so clearly the advice that can be given in this revision notes book is limited in that area. Despite such, it does highlight the skills that are needed to succeed in the special study examination.

I can highly recommend this textbook to OCR Criminal Law students.

I'm currently using this revision guide as a help along side my textbook. It helps a lot when it comes to summarising cases that are relevant to each part of the subject. By this I mean there is a table on each section telling you cases, the ruling and the legal point, this helps so much in finding what is relevant and what to ignore. However it would be a good idea to make sure you look up cases as well, because as they are condensed you may not get the full information you would like. Overall great book, definitely recommend it to anyone studying Criminal Law A2

This revision guide could have been better. It gave an outline of revision rather than notes. Also, it was quite limited on the G154 exam, which was the main reason why I got it so that disappointed me.

Bought a second hand book, did not however, buy the brown stains on the back, which can easily be wiped off. Poor quality handling from the seller. Despite this and bent corner pages, no other problems.

Good, but you need the textbook and other resources with it.
