I really enjoyed this story, I really liked Preston from the previous books in the series, and Amanda was really sweet.

So they both had crushes on each other, but Preston's well paid job was the cause of his opinion that he didn't deserve to be happy. Amanda's had a privileged upbringing, but that didn't mean she was used to getting everything her own way, she was a very caring person, always thinking about others, even when she found out that Preston forgot about their first night of passion.

Preston worked to pay for his siblings, making sure they didn't loose out like he did. Amanda fell in love with the caring person Preston was, as their story unfolds they fall really hard for each other, the reality of their relationship starts to unfold, with Preston feeling guilty hoping she don't find out hi us secret, she just falls further in love with him. Amanda comes to the rescue when his little sister is Ill, making it harder for when the truth comes out.

So pleased that Low and Marcus are getting married, which causes more strain on Preston and Amanda, but with all the ups and downs they face their friends really come up trumps! Preston has to decide if he wants to keep his secret job and no it loose her.

I felt sorry for Jason, he ended up as flack, but came across as. a real sweetie.

So glad Preston and Amanda made it, sad when his mom died, as you really felt for the kids! so so pleased they got a happy ending to, with Rock and Trisha, I hope they are really happy now!

Ironically this book was Abbi Glines's debut novel and it's last book of hers that I've read. Having said this I thoroughly enjoyed it and can see what an amazing start to her writing career it was!

Sadie and Jax's story is the typically classic undying dream of every teenage girl out there. To meet her favourite rock star and for them to fall absolutely and irrevocably head over heals for each other. What this story has that others do not, is Abbi Glines's beautiful style of writing. Every moment was either funny, saddening or romantically sweet; or all of these wrapped into one, because Abbi Glines has successfully achieved that too in this lovely story.

I have to admit that I also very much liked how, what can be perceived as a completely unrealistic story; was made to feel more real by the circumstances of the characters, especially Sadie. She proved to be a strong girl, with a grounded sense of duty and responsibility, that can only have been learnt at such a young age by unfortunate circumstances that mean that you either sink or swim.

The situation Sadie finds herself in reflects a current and all to well known reality, making her hard pressing duties and a relationship with Jax extraordinarily complicated. Having met people in similar situations to hers I felt I could really relate Sadie, bringing this story all the more to life.

Narrating and making me live this classic story that is ever girl's dream, and was most certainly mine (and occasionally still is), truly reminded me that it's not just the quality and the novelty of the tale but also the way by which it is brought to life in the mind of the reader.
I can safely say that by the end of Breathe Abbi Glines had done such a great job, that I felt so inside the book that I was not ready to let the characters go! Mercifully there is a sequel entitled Low, so I don't have to quite give them up yet.

If you like this I strongly recommend all the other books written by this fantastic author, including the Existence series and The Vincent Boys series (now complete). If on the other hand you're looking for something simple that stays along the romance YA lines I would recommend Cross My Heart by Katie Klein and Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

Another awesome read from Abbi Glines, each book in the Sea Breeze series just gets better .... and hotter. OMG I thought Cage was the one, but Preston is on a par, man-whore and all. Fabulous story, loved the secondary characters brought in from other books in the series. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride that had me in tears, palpitations and holding my breath in places.

LOVED Amanda she is just a poppet, as well as being one strong, tough girl. To accept and forgive the way she did ..... one tough cookie. Preston and Amanda are just perfect for each other.

Abbi Glines you are one hell of an author and I will STALK you!!! lol.

5+ stars from me

Wow. Love the whole story from start to finish. Sadie and jax' story. Falling in love for the first time is hard, but falling for a tough lovable rock star is pretty unbelievable. Abbi Glines really hit a chart topper with this amazing teenage romance

I enjoyed it, but didn't love it. I guess I am comparing it to the Vincent Boys/Brothers which I absolutely loved. I'm just not sure about this one, the writing did not flow as I expected it to, felt it was a bit stilted - especially the conversations. I have downloaded the rest of the series which I am going to read following on from this book.

So I liked/enjoyed it, but did not love it. 3.5 stars from me.
