An excellent text with well illustrated case studies. A core text for my fire investigation students, along with Kirk's Fire Investigation, Forensic Fire Scene Reconstruction, Fire Debris Analysis, Ignition Handbook, and Fire Investigation. A very different perspective from most fire investigation textbooks and makes uncomfortable reading when miscarriages of justice are brought to light. The chapters on erroneous indicators and mythology in fire investigation are essential reading. My only criticism is that if you already have the first edition you will find that most of it is identical, which is a shame when it is so expensive.
