What a wonderful story. I haven't read one of her books for a long time, and it was so refreshing not to read of sex scenes etc. which tends to go with other authors to make a good story line. Danielle Steel has once again woven into the fabric of her story some interesting characters and situations. Having worked with children in wheelchairs, I was amazed at the depth of insight portrayed here, with the hurdles the children have to face, their determination, and of course, the pain the parents go through too. The story line had it's sad moments, but so does life. How the characters worked through those situations were challenging, they felt were so real, even down to the children's' reactions for moving! Well done Danielle Steel for a great book. Well worth curling up for with a mug of coffee.

For me, the joy of Danielle Steel books is the ease of reading and the way you get lost in the emotions. This was no exception. The emotional pull starts from almost the first page and then just reels you into the story. I loved the concept and the characters and couldn't put it down until the end. Now I can't wait to start my next book

Always an avid fan of Danielle Steel, but this was very moving and eye opening. To be dealt with a tragedy and then the emotions of the people involved really makes you think about your life and the people around you. Excellent book. Well done Danielle Steel!!!

Such raw emotions are expressed so beautifully in this book. A must read! Each character is uncovered and developed so intensely and as you read about each you start to truly empathise and grow with them.

Another beautifully written book by Danielle Steele. The story keeps you riveted right from the first few pages. The book is written with passion and emotion and because of its descriptive ways, makes you feel like you are part of the story and that you know each of the characters personally.

This has been one of Danielle steel's best novels yet. Pre ordered it and got it downloaded on 10 th October and I found that I could not put the book down and that I got totally engrossed in it without realising the time. Every bit as good as forever friends. Dorothy Francis

This book holds you from the first page. When disaster strikes how do people react? How would we react as the victim or those involved around that person. A very real story which shows that good things can come from something horrific!
