The print is very small, so marking it hard to read, . It seems that they have just taken the standard DK Eyewitness Guide and reduced it in size without removing the content that is of no use while walking round Edinburgh. (What is a map of Glasgow doing in it for example.)
It would be a lot more useful if it only contain the content for Edinburgh, in larger print spread over the same number of pages.

Very small book for tiny pockets! Approx size of 5cm wide x 12cm high so the writing is really small and you have to bend the pages right back to try and read the contents. The only useful thing is the pull-out map. I wish I'd bought the larger book as it would have been more useful.

This is a very small book! It will certainly fit in the smallest of pockets! Inevitably that means it doesn't contain a huge amount of information - really only suitable for a day trip to Edinburgh. That said, it contains a nice little fold-out map of the centre of Edinburgh and the centre of Glasgow, along with a bit of information about tourist spots in Glasgow. For the price I think I would prefer a bigger book with more detailed information. but at least this won't weigh too much in my handbag so overall I'm quite happy!

'Pocket' really does mean that - it would fit in the smallest of pockets. The print is tiny, and the narrow margins on the tiny pages make it hard to fully open it without risking destroying the spine.

As others have said it has maps of both edinburgh and glasgow, and brief information on tourist sites. I bought it primarily for the map which is fine, but some of the information is not very up to date, ie the portrait gallery is currently closed for renovation and this is not mentioned. I would suggest a bigger more detailed guide book for anyone visiting for longer than a day or two.

Ridiculously tiny. Impossible to read such small print. It’s more suitable as a freebie from a hotel, certainly not something I’m happy to have paid for.

If I had wanted a Glasgow guide book I would have bought one ..... only on re reading the description do I see Glasgow mentioned ..... disappointed this was not solely Edinburgh given its small size .

I bought this book expecting a cut down version of the usually excellent DK travel guides.
However, this guide takes "pocket-sized" to a whole new level! The text is so small it is barely readable, and the content is very light, with very short descriptions of the places mentioned.
Amazon kindly exchanged for the Lonely Planet Edinburgh Encounter guide - much better.

Good content but too small to use well. It would have been better as a ring binder.
