Not as good as a lonely planet or rough guide, but it is smaller and lighter (and well made).

Ultimately doesn't go into detail about individual locations, but fine if you're seeing the whole island and want to pick highlights.

Less concentration on the major towns more on the truly amazing smaller villages would have been useful ...also very much out of date !

This 128-page book - the 3rd (printed) edition of June 2017 - is a colourful and informative guide to the attractions of the French Mediterranean island of Corsica; for real visitors and armchair travellers alike.

It has all the usual features, including excellent maps and articles. There are excellent colour photos breaking up the text columns, so you can see what you are looking for. This is a handy up-to-date guidebook, for a weekend break or short stay, with all the usual topics a tourist guide provides, as well as chapters on the top ten sites.

Please note though that this is a POCKET guide to the HIGHLIGHTS of the area, and not an in-depth study of everything to be found there. For that, you need a full-sized guide.

The Contents include -
P005: Top 10 Corsica Highlights (Ajaccio; Golfe de Valinco; Le Sartenais; Bonifacio; Bastia; Cap Corse; St-Florent & the Nebbio; Calvi; Corte & its Hinterland; Golfe de Porto).
P042: Top 10 of Everything (top 10 lists of all the other touristy things to see and do)

Corsica Area by Area
P076: Ajaccio & the West Coast
P084: Bonifacio & the South
P092: Corte, the Interior & the East Coast
P098: Bastia & the North

Streetsmart (practical touristy information, including)
P106: Getting to and around Corsica
P112: Places to Stay
P118: General Index
P126: Phrase Book

This is a useful travel guide. Although it's quite light on analysis, it contains enough information to get you through your holiday. Its big plus point compared to other guides is the number of photos, which means you (literally) get a better view of what your destination is like.

I guess I didn't read the blurb well enough. It just describes ten areas.
