Very pretty but I do think these stories are going a bit awry

Lion Inside remains my absolute favourite, folllowed by the Koala who Could - the last few books I feel have lost their way a bit. The moral is getting stretched to the point I’m not sure it’s quite right anymore.
In this book, for example, if you act a bit silly and go your own way, it’s okay because other creatures will come and save you. On the one hand, it proves the value of friends - but on the other, considering the wolf didn’t actually KNOW the creatures involved, it doesn’t. I’m a little uncomfortable giving my son the message that no matter what you do someone else will come and save you.
Maybe I’m over analysing this - but when I look at the first two books I mentioned, the got it spot on in their message - and it worked in the context of life and the book. The last two haven’t done that in my view.
So it’s an okay book - but the first two are in my view far superior. Beautiful but flawed.
