Outstanding Portrayal Of Owls
on 5 August 2013
Owls have long been fascinating birds to my family. Seen rarely in real-time, it is through books written by owl experts, as Marianne Taylor is, allied to high-resolution photography that we are able to understand and see these beautiful birds, learning of their behaviour and the extent of the different species all presented to the reader in glorious form.
The book is divided into two Parts. The first is an overview of the lives and characteristics of the owls. The second details accounts of all the owl species found in the Northern Hemisphere. The photographs are spectacular throughout giving the feeling of realism and insight into their lives accompanied by an authoritative text.
The best book on these magical owls that I have read or seen. Not only educational, but charming and enchanting. A must-have for any enthusiast.
