This book is definetly worth a try, the storyline is great, very enjoyable, the characters are likable and funny when needed, the art is fantastic, it’s good to look at. I recommend this book to anyone who loves comics or just interested in getting to know the genre.

I found War Of The Green Lanterns to be very underwhelming and disappointing. The renegade guardian Krona has taken control of the Green Lantern Corps and it's up to the four Earth Green Lanterns Hal, John, Kyle and Guy to stop him. The title of this arc is misleading as it's not a war between the green lanterns. Hal and the other four lanterns can't use their green power rings so they end up using power rings from the other corps. The ending of the novel is really poor and it's a huge cliff-hanger. Considering that this is the last Green Lantern book before the New 52 they could have ended it a lot better. I would rather they ended War Of The Green Lanterns on a high note, then completely rebooted the Green Lantern franchise in the New 52. Instead us fans are treated to a bunch of mediocre Green Lantern arcs in the New 52 such as Revenge Of The Black Hand, Rise Of The Third Army and Wrath Of The First Lantern. The previous three GL novels leading up to War Of The Green Lanterns were all much better than War Of The Green Lanterns itself. The overall plot and outcome is totally underwhelming and by the end of it you find yourself thinking to yourself (is that it?). When you put this novel up against the earlier GL novels this one looks really weak. Unfortunately it's all downhill from here and the GL story arcs in the New 52 continuing from this one are really poor.
