Agile Project Management For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) Paperback – 20 Oct 2017
This book is more about using the AGILE software approach to project management than project management itself.
Agile is more of a problem-solving methodology that can be implemented into project management. To this end the book does well and I feel I now have a better understanding of the concepts of road maps, time planning, costing in relations to project management and risk.
It is nothing new to many of us but just a different way of looking at project management using modern systems. When I started out this used to be called work study and project planning and we used such techniques as flow charts, time planning charts and critical path analysis. The advent of computers made this much easier than the paper based systems I started with.
Anyone working in project management using the Agile system approach will get a lot from this book which is not really about project management in general but a technique to apply it.
