This is a useful and necessary contribution to what is becoming a major societal problem - for all sexualities. The sexual freedom in particular afforded by the internet age has brought with it, for many, a sense of out of control behaviour and what can be crippling shame. The impact on emotional wellbeing and the ability to establish and maintain healthy meaningful relationships can be profound.
This particular book by Robert Weiss addresses the issues associated with internet and sex addiction from the perspective of gay men. This second edition includes a foreword from Patrick Carnes (key influential contributor to sex addiction debate and author of Out of the Shadows) and a new chapter on technology - addressing the changing face of sex addiction.

A very clear written and well thought out book. Absolute must read! For all gay men struggling with sex addiction. There are other books out there on sex addiction but this book is specifically by a gay man FOR gay men, I found this invaluable given this sensitive topic.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 steps programme aspect of the book. This book was very compiling and insightful. Like a previous review stated before “Sex addiction is not even talked about in the gay community”, although clear evidence of “sexually behaviours” indicates many gay men are struggling with sex addiction.
