Not sure I was the right target audience for this one, as i'm a graphic designer from the 21st century and don't wage many wars. That said, I did find it an interesting read. Most of the tips in here are clearly just common sense, but a few stuck out as really good insights.

The main pull of this book is to transport yourself 1,000's of years into the past and get a snippet of what it would be like to try and command an army. The book may be very short and have no story (obviously), but it's hard to rate it lowly because of that alone.

I can't say it's a particularly enjoyable read, but I think its worth while if you have a passing interest and a free afternoon. You can easily burn through this book in a few hours.

Really good book to read. Can`t believe it was written thousands of years ago, split up into well thought out chapter/sections, very short, so good if you like to read in short bursts. Sun Tzu presents some interesting theories in warfare that are still relevant even today, for example crossing over a hill quickly, is taught in today`s modern millitaries as skylining.

It is even thought that this book was read by Che Guevara to train his forces during the Cuban Revolution and various military commanders.

Overall, if you are interested in the Military History, History or Business. I would highly recommend this book for an easy, and interesting read.

He was really pleased with the design of the book- minimalist

Essential for all strategists, and not just military ones. With little imagination, the tactical and strategic 'advice' within this reference can often, if not always, be extrapolated to many contemporary contexts.

Outside of religious texts, the core/original Sun Tzu work is one of the most enduring works of writing in the history of civilisation. To be so widely known even today, is obviously a testament.

Would recommend any non-fiction reader add one of the reputable versions of Sun Tzu's work to the "essentials" colletion.

I got this to prepare an act of war against my work and all I got was a book of poetry!i enjoyed it thought and instead of waging war against my crappy bosses i just deicided it was better to leave with what little sanity i had left!cheers Sun-tzu!

I have read this book prior to purchase, but decided to grab a physical copy as I had never owned one. All I'll say is this book is definitely worth reading, but this copy was horrible, it's as if someone grabbed a free eBook copy online and got it printed, spelling mistakes, mainly things such a zero instead of o, but mainly just bad proof reading for a printed book!

A book written by a legend, this might teach you a thing or two if you're into total war games

This book contains a lot of wisdom. Makes you see life and what you're doing in life from a different. very strategic and wise perspective. Content by Sun Tzu is quite fascinating, but commentary of commentators is so overwhelmingly difficult in vocabulary as if the difficult vocabulary of the translations was not hard enough.
