An ingenious satire on American policy in the middle East - and extremism in America in general. A group of very advanced but peaceful aliens have taken over a small town in the US. A religious leader more concerned with power than right, uses every dirty trick in the book to try to get them out and return 'the holy land' (kenwick) to its own (human) inhabitants. Zubrin's book is hilarious but very close to the bone at times and in the best traditions of humour and satire, makes you think whilst you laugh. If you like intelligent humour and do not like the current direction of US policy - you will enjoy this
