A view of space travel when few people even took the idea seriously. Von Braun considers every aspect of the project except perhaps the cost. He's a real expert and if you don't mind a little maths with your fiction the details of interplanetary travel, such as orbits, fuel consumption, and sustaining life in a spacecraft provide a fascinating and detailed insight. The Sirius rocket is actually quite similar to the Saturn V, showing how vB had the thing planned long before he talked Kennedy into funding it.
